Press Release: Dr. Terri-Lynn MacKay, Mental Health Director for LifeSpeak Inc., to Present at 43rd Annual International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists Symposium

 LifeSpeak Inc. (TSX: LSPK), the leading provider of mental, physical, and family wellbeing solutions for employers, health plans, and other organizations, announced today that Dr. Terri-Lynn MacKay, mental health director at LifeSpeak Inc., has been selected to speak at the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) 43rd Annual ISCEBS Employee Benefits Symposium for employers and benefits professionals. MacKay, who has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and a master’s in behavioral neuroscience, will present on the topic of “A New Day for Substance Use Benefits: Creating Workplace Benefits That Support Employees Across the Spectrum of Use,” at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 17.

MacKay will discuss a contemporary approach to substance use care that is focused on helping employees understand how substance use impacts their physical and mental wellbeing. Her insights will allow employers to understand:

• The lingering stigma around substance use and how it affects their employees;
• How to help employees across all stages of substance use, not just those with a clinical substance use diagnosis; and
• How employers can engage with a growing population of sober-curious employees who want to change their relationship with substances.
